Young People Are Partners in Change

Youth Initiative (YI) is a youth-led and youth-run, not-for-profit organization established in late 1999 and legally registered with the District Administration Office in Kathmandu in April 2001. It was created by and for young people to help them develop their full potential and bring positive change to the communities in which they live.

Working in youth empowerment, civic engagement, democratization, and human rights, Youth Initiative seeks to ensure that young people have meaningful opportunities to participate in decision-making at every level of society.

Inform young people about the issues affecting their lives, empower them with skills and opportunities, and involve them in their own development and that of their communities.
